Avery Elle: Simply Said Hello

Happy Tuesday! Today's card is made with Avery Elle newly released Simply Said Hello stamp and die set.

For my first card, I combined it with my favorite To the point stamp set. Aren't these new Avery Elle ink colors pretty?  I layered two die cut with matching color card stock to create the effect of drop shadow.

The second card used negative die.  I colored the card stock with Spectrum Noir pens and layered it behind the negative die.

Poppy Stamp fire hydrant birthday card

I am sharing another card over Poppy Stamp Blog today.
I used Fire Hydrant die and made a quick and easy birthday card for boys. I generated and printed the sentiment from my computer.

Avery Elle: Needle Little Love

Happy Tuesday! Today's card is made with Nina's newly released Needle Little Love stamp set and Needle Little Love Heart die.

Instead of die cut and cross stitch, I wanted to try dry embossed the heart die.  So I stamped the sentiments and needle first. Then dry embossed the die.  The little holes were imprinted nice and neatly.  I used the dashed line stamp and stamped the my faux cross stitched heart.  Much faster than the actual cross stitch. The ink colors for the sentiments are Raspberry and Mimosa. I used Pixie for thread and stitches, and Fog for needle.

Avery Elle & Tombow Sweet Treats Blog Hop

We hope you are ready for some Lovely Ideas and Great Prizes this week from Tombow and Avery Elle. This Sweet Treats Hop is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day!! If you're here from Tombow blog, Then you’re in the right place,  if not then you may want to start at the beginning.

There are many technique you can use with the dual brush pens.

The first technique I used was stamping with the brush pens. I colored the feather image with brush tip of the markers and stamped on the card. Since the stamp I used is small, I don't need to worry about the color dries on stamp before stamping.  If you are using a bigger stamp, you will need to mist the colored stamp with a mini mister before stamping.

I used a faux watercolor technique on my second card.  For this technique, you need to have a clean baby wipe ready. All you need to do is brushing the color on paper or card stock, and wipe it immediately with the baby wipes to the coverage and the intensity of the color you prefer. Do test on your card stock or water color paper first. Some card stock takes color right in and it is hard to blend to create the watercolor effect. Some card stock will pill when you wipe. I got best result with Neenah classic white card stock after trying three different kinds of card stocks and one watercolor paper I have at hand.

Wplus9 birthday celebration

Hello, I have a couple of cards to join Wplus9 birthday celebration.

The first one is for Step it up challenge. I used a small image from Love you More set to create the background.  Then I splattered some gold ink over the stamped panel.  I combined Love die from Pretty Patches Christmas die and another small sentiment from Love you more set for the sentiment.  I die cut some hearts from vellum and stitched on the card front panel. I cased one of Danielle Flander's cards for this one.

The second one is for spotlight challenge. I used Love die from Pretty Patch Christmas again on this card.  First I dry embossed the die two times on card base. Then I die cut it out from patterned paper and combined it with a sentiment from Love you more set for the sentiment.  The hearts were cut out from gold glitter card stock.

Hope you will like them, thanks for stopping by,

Avery Elle: Simply Labels Hello Friends

I have a few cards made with Nina's newly released set Simply Labels Hello Friend stamp and die.
For the first card, I stamped the little envelope image repeatedly and randomly to create the background. The Simply said love die was inlaid into the negative die on the card base.

I did some color blocking to create the second and the third card. A feminine version and a masculine version.
