A published card

This is my card published in the Natural elements section of the September/October 2012 Paper Crafts magazine.  The natural elements used here are cork (for the die cut frame), wood (bird) and wood grain card base.  There are so many creative projects in this issue, I can't stop thinking how much talents there are.

Avery Elle August release final day

It is the last day of the release week.  Today I am sharing two cards using the new Blooming Banner stamp set.

The first card is a one-layer card.  The banner was stamped in Fresh ink Fuchsia.  The sentiment is from Sentimental Swirl set.

For the second card, I stamped the banner twice and cut both into halves. Four pieces were mounted on Fizz card base.  Fresh ink Ginger and new card stock color Fizz match perfectly.

Avery Elle release week day 3

Today's card is for the third new stamp set - sentimental swirls.  It is such a timeless set.

For my first card, I used the color from the Play Date Cafe challenge #144.

The blooms from the blossoms & blooms was stamped in Fresh ink fuchsia, ginger and mango.  The orange color card stock is one of the new released color - fizz.

The second card base is the new light yellow card stock daisy.  I used one image from ikat to create the pattern. The swirl and the sentiment were stamped on die cut.

Avery Elle release week day 2

Today is the second day of the release.  The stamp set we are showcasing is Picture lt.  I have two one layer card.

The first card was inspired by the Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World.

The black type writer is the inspiration for another old world tool to capture the memories - polaroid.  the colorful keys are inspiration for the happy bubbles coming out of the camera.

Card 2 was inspired by a card Dawn made during Wplus 9 recent release.

Avery Elle release week day 1

Hello.  Today is the first day of the release week at Avery Elle.  This month, Avery Elle is releasing four new stamp set and four new card stock colors.  Today we are feature the fashionable new stamp set that I am really excited about - ikat.  Ikat is a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dyeing process similar to tie-dye. You can click the link and learn more if you are interested. Here are some inspiration I found on pinterest.

For my first card today, I used the rainbow colors with one of the stamps.  The sentiment is from another set which we will showcase tomorrow.

For my second card, I stamped another ikat image in Fresh ink provincial grey and colored the center with Copic. The the panel was adhered to lemon grass card stock.

MIM #76: Double-time Bleach Stamping

After I saw the new MIM video by Nichol and I knew I have to try this technique.  But I spent too much time watching Olympics games and did not get to stamp until Saturday. 

I stamped the back of the stamp in bleach and then turned the stamp over and stamped in color.  The colors are from ColourQ #148. It also entered into CASE study: signature style challenge.
