Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop

It's Jan 25th, which means it is time for Papertrey Ink blog hop. We were challenged to share a favorite project from 2011 and then create a second card that was inspired by old favorite project.

Below was a card I made for Papertrey Ink blog hop last October.

For my new card, I used the same layout with die cut frame, substituted the background stamp, focal point stamp and color scheme.

It also entered into the current Simon Says Stamp challenge: anything goes and Jay Gee's Nook challenge.

Thanks for stopping by! Wednesday is the busiest day of the week for me.  I won't be able to check all the inspiring projects until late night.

Winner

I am really glad snow storm is over. I did not have one snow day last week.  I had THREE snow days.  It never happened before.  And we were out of power for about a day.  That was not fun. My kids usually pretend they are trains or trucks.  Now they both are snow plows.

I am back with the winner for my giveaway of 365 cards magazine.

Winner is Christina!
Christina, send me your snail mail address.  I will get the magazine out to you soon. Pin It

Giveaway

Winter is finally here.  We got snowed in on Sunday and did not go to any of our regular activities.  It is forecasted there will be 5-10 more inches snow before Wednesday morning commute starts.  Preschool is closed.  Hopefully I can get a snow day and stay home with kids.
I have an extra 365 cards.  Leave me a comment by Sunday Jan 22  if you want it and I will post the winner on Monday Jan 23.

Happy snow day! Pin It

CASE Study #73

I have been following CASE Study for quite a while and participated once.  January's muse is the amazing Jen Rzasa.  I love her clean and simple designs.  This week's card is one of my favorite.

I took the white on White, three negative butterfly dies, and reverse color matched blings from her card and made the following.

This is her fabulous card.

Love

A quick post to share a card.

I used Lucy's sketch #2.  Spellbinders Blossom die were embossed on card base.  Two birds were die cut in pink and blue separately.  It was entered into Moxie Fab World Cool Tools Die cutting challenge.  I was really inspired by the different use of manual die cut machine and digital die cut machine.  I am hoping to play a few more times before the challenge ends.

Colors are from ColorQ #181.

I used my new dies.  So it also fits the current Wee Memories Challenge.

Enjoy

Hi everyone,

I hope your new year is off to a wonderful start.  Mine is fabulous, but I have to keep reminding my fingers to type in the right year!

I wanted to showcase my first card of the year with bright hues of color to help offset the grey and soggy weather we've been having here. The clouds are so thick here that my four years old asked me several times today, "Is it day or night?"

This card is for Lawn Fawn Winter CHA challenge.

Since I used my new Lawn Fawn stamp, it also fits the current challenge at Wee Memories and Simon says stamp challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
cardstock: PTI vintage cream
Stamp: Lawn Fawn Admit one
