Bows and Berries #13: Clean and Simple

It is time for another Bows and Berries challenge. The current bi-weekly challenge is Clean and Simple, my favorite.

I used 'Decoration' and made a holiday card.  I printed three ornaments in different sizes and colors on white cardstock.  Then I stickled and added rhinestone stickers.

Please head on over to the Bows & Berries blog to check out what fabulous inspiration Robin and the rest of the design team has come up with then play along. You aren't required to use a Bows & Berries digi to play but Robin does have a new free digi image available every month, so grab it while you can!

It also fits the current Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything goes.
Happy Monday!  Thanks for stopping by.

October Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Hello, everyone!  It has been a while.
Today I am joining the Papertrey Ink blog hop.  Below is the beautiful inspiration photo.  I used the orange color and fall thankful theme for my card.  Houndstooth background was stamped in orange on the cardbase.  Mat stack one was die cut into a frame using kraft cardstock for the focal point.  Sentiment is from Tag-it #2.

And since Wee Memories is a free for all this week, I'll add this there!

Happy Anniversary

Our anniversary was a few days ago.  I got a surprise present and a poem (I requested the later) from my hubby.  But I did not get to make a card for DH until last night.  Bad, bad.  He is not a CAS type, so I decided to try something new. I love all the ideas of adding texture to the cards from Moxie Fab World Textured to Perfection and decided to give it a try.

I broke into the sticky back canvas I got awhile ago.  Roses were stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder.  Then I distressed the canvas with Spun sugar, worn lipstick, and wild honey.  I also distressed patterned paper panel and the banner for sentiment with vintage photo.  That was a ton of distress ink for me.  Well, the card was definitely not masculine enough.  But I do like the card and the process of making it, and my DH loved it.

Love the ideas from Moxie Fab World Textured to Perfection and hope to try a different technique before the challenge ends.

Thanks for stopping by.

DeNami Fall Blog Hop

Hello, everyone.  Welcome.  Hope you are enjoying the DeNami Fall Blog Hop.
You should have arrived here from talented Andrea Matthew's blog.

If not, head on over to the DeNami Blog for the master list of hop participants. You'll want to stay on track… leaving a comment on every blog along the way (including the DeNami Blog) gives you a chance to win one of TWO $20 DeNami gift certificates! I used the leaf branch from Ornamental flower petite four set and created an autumn wreath card.
The leaf branch was stamped in two colors and embellished with stickles.  Sentiment was heat embossed with detail white embossing powder.

I used only one of the four stamps and my hands were still itchy.  So I made a quick thank you card using another stamp.

Hope you enjoyed my blog hop offerings!

Alright, head on over to see what the amazing Ruza Rebel has for you!

Happy Hopping! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hope you will like it.  Thanks for visiting.

White Poinsettia Holiday card

Today I have a holiday card to share. I just started to think about mass producible holiday card.  Here is my first try.

Background kraft cardstock was misted with Studio Calico mister Huey's schoolhouse. After the misted cardstock dried, Poinsettia was stamped and heat embossed.  Red ribbon was looped together and secured.  So it headed to CAS-ual Fridays challenge #22 Feeling Loopy and Ribbon Carousel Challenge #23: Anything Goes.

Since the embossed flower was so touchable, the card was also entered into Kerrianne Gwin's WCMD Touchable Texture Challenge. It also fits the bill for Holiday card challenge by Ellen Houson.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day. Pin It

Bows and Berries challenge #11

Today Bows and Berries has a new challenge #12.

I used toothy bat for a hybrid Halloween Card.  The toothy bat looks so friendly, perfect for little kids.

I used a punched out circle and Ranger's distress ink made the moon. Even though I adore the technique and love the result, it is not one pop into my head very often. Definitely need more practice. Tree trunk is from Memory Box and sentiment is SRM sticker.

It also headed to Lea's Halloween challenge and Simon Says Stamp: Anything goes. Pin It

Bee Happy: World Card Making Day

It is World Card Making day today!  I am so excited about it and wish I can just spend the whole day reading blog posts through google reader and making cards.  But I have to entertain two preschoolers and catch up the housework.  I am a lot more tired on weekends than weekdays because I can't hide in my office.  I hope I can stay awake after the boys sleep tonight and get to visit the designers from the blog tour

I got a head start and have a card to share.  I see hexagons everywhere recently.  I love simple shapes.  So it is love at first sight.  For this card, I built a honeycomb with the hexagons of two shapes of yellow.

What's your plan for the exciting day?  Will you be crafty?  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great day!
