Eek!

I have a stack SRM stickers that I have not used yet.  Well, actually I tried once and the sticker did not go where I wanted.   For the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge, I dug out the stickers again. The Halloween stickers spoke to me.  Since I am on the preschool board and working on Halloween Carnival right now.  I am really in the mood of Halloween cards. I used Moxie Fab world vertical sketch for this card.

Love the yellow eyes of those creepy spiders.  It is a card without any inking at all.

Tuesday Trigger: Girly & Gutsy

I got to make a card last minute for Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger: Girly & Gutsy.

I incorporated quiet a few elements of the picture into my card.  Tag is soft pink as the wall.  Mirror with Black frame and the reflection of flower bouquet are the focal image of the card. Several patterned paper were layered together.  Each patterned paper stands for one of the elements - yellow color and the stripe texture of the chairs, grey curtain, black table, and bold black and white floor.  Everything except the sentiment is patterned paper.

Embellish Embossed flowers color trend challenge

A quick post of a card for current Embellish challenge

The lighter color between red and green looks buttercream from another computer.  While I was posting from my laptop, it looks pink to me.  The flower is embossed with Martha Steward red embossing powder.  I got the card stock from Impress. I like that the inside of the card stock is white.

Masculine Birthday Card

I challenged myself and made a masculine card for Wee Memories challenge #64.  I don't make masculine card unless I really need one.  So it is a good opportunity to add one to my card stash.

I inked up four solid circle stamps of different sizes from Paper trey ink shape by design in four colors and randomly stamped across the bottom half of kraft card stock.  Sentiment is from boy basics rock on.  Love the outlined font for masculine card.  Double lines are from retro background.

Kids birthday cards

My little one will start preschool in September.  With two preschoolers, there will be twice as many birthday parties.  I got a head start and made a set of kids birthday cards using a Hero Arts digital kit Adorable Creatures from Two Peas.

This little guy caught my eye and I just have to have him because I know both my boys will love him.

There are nine adorable critters in the digi kit.  I made cards with five of them.  I wish there is a penguin.  Here is a group photo.

Can't you tell that this little guy is my favorite?  I made four cards just with him.  So altogether eight cards.  That is the most cards I ever made in one day.

Paper: Bazzill white and kraft card stock
Stamp: Hero Arts digital kit Adorable Creatures, Amuse ovalicious, PTI shape by design

The kitty was colored with watercolor pencils.  The Amuse oval was stamped in Memento Pear tart.  But it looks yellow-ish on the picture.

Isn't the kitty cutest?  My two year old said the kitty is playing peekaboo.

I got a chance to make a card using the current Make it Monday technique - Decreasing Apertures.  The color is from Jay Gee's Nook Challenge #10.

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger: Square to cherish

Here is the current Tuesday Trigger picture from Moxie Fab World.

I took the color quilt squares, stitches and tall blue cabinet from the picture to create my card.  Instead of having an image on each square, I stamped the big dotted flower from Hero Arts Luscious Bold Flowers Set with VersaMark and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder.  The blue ribbon with dotted circle resemble the tall blue cabinet.  The arrangement of elements of the card also mimic those of the trigger picture.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:
Paper: Bazzill color card stock, PTI white card stock
Stamp: Amuse avian note, Hero Arts luscious bold flower set
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, VersaMark
Other: detail white embossing powder, ribbon (JoAnn), Martha Steward rhinestone sticker Pin It

Botanical Thank you

The current Moxie Fab world challenge is Fanatical about botanical.  The botanical style is characterized by realistic details of flora and fauna, and it never goes out of style. What I like most about the current botanical trend is the bold yet detailed image with white space.  This card by Julia Stainton is my favorite.

I used a big flower cut out from patterned paper and placed it on dotted paper.  There were three leaves, I tried different ways of placement and decided cutting off two leaves and trimmed the one left.  I am happy with the final result.  Flowers were popped up with 3D foam square for dimension.

Supplies:
Paper: Bazzill red card stock,
Stamp:  Amuse essential sentiment
Ink: Memento tuxedo black
Other: PTI rustic twine Pin It

Embellish Patterned Paper Color Trends Challenge

It has been awhile since my last post.  There are finally some nice warm summer days here in Seattle in the last two weeks.  We were on the beach and in the park a lot enjoying the short summer.  Now back to card.

I have the current Embellish challenge in my mind for while.  The color is quite challenge to me. So I went to Tina's blog and found where she got her inspiration - book “Pattern” by Orla Kiely.  After a little search on Pinterest, I found some Orla Kiely patterns and got my inspiration!

Here is my attempt to make a Orla Kiely-esque pattern with leaf stamp from PTI flower fusion #4 and flower stamp from Amuse clever girl.

Please excuse the terrible picture. When I got home from work tonight and found that the new camera DH bought for me arrived!  I will be working on improving my photos.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:
Paper: PTI white card stock, pattern paper from my mind's eye Stella & rose
Stamp: PTI  flower fusion #4, Amuse clever girls, monogram frames
