Butterfly Thanks

I found some pattern paper at Impress store the other day.  You will see them on my cards in the near future.  This is one of the PP.  Impress store is quickly becoming my favorite place to shop (sign, there are so many things I want).  PTI think big sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder.  Photo does not show PP well.  It has soft grey background with music note and colorful butterflies with different patterns.  I think I need a new camera too.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:
Paper: Bazill card stock, Creation PP
Stamp: PTI think big favorite 4
Ink: VersaMark, colorbox fresh white

Play Date Cafe #87 and SSSC #123

Happy Tuesday!  Now to me, Tuesday is associated with the Play Date Cafe Challenge.  The challenge ends tonight.  So there is still some time if you want to play. This week's color are Slate Blue...Barn Red...Grey.  I always love to look closely at each little section of the inspiration picture.  In this picture, I really like the panel made of different color beads.  It starts bright red in the middle and radiant out with different color.  It resembles nature gem.

I took the inspiration from the beads panel and  started the card with sketch from SSSC123.  I made some modification to the sketch along the way.  Hero Arts heart flower was stamped on red card stock with VersaMark to create the subtle background.  It was also stamped on die cut from white card stock with Memento Bahama blue to create the focal point. With rhinestone sticker, ribbon and doily, here it is.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:
Paper: Bazill card stock
Stamp: Hero Arts heart flower, PTI mega-mixed messages
Ink: Memento dye ink in bahama blue, VersaMark
Other;  PTI edger die, , Martha Steward rhinestone sticker, ribbon, doily Pin It

Floral and Butterfly Congratulations

I am so excited about this post because I am the guest designer for Card Patterns Challenge sketch 121!  This sketch is so versatile.  For today's card, I used the sketch as it is.  I know that I will use this pattern again in the near future, perhaps with slight transformation.

Recently, I have been trying to incorporate tissue paper on my cards.  I made a card using tissue paper butterfly a few days ago (here).  Here is another bright, happy and dimensional butterfly.
I used colors from Color Q Challenge #90.

Thanks for stopping by.

Paper: Bazill card stock, paper pizazz pattern paper
Stamp:  Impress congratulations,

Butterfly congratulations

Finally got some time to make a card for the current Embellish background stamping color trend challenge before it ends.

I used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 122

Paper trey ink year of flower was stamped on blue card stock with VersaMark to create a tone on tone background.  The butterfly was die cut out of layers of red tissue paper.  Love the dimension tissue paper is created since it is so thin and you can use many layers.  Green rhinestone stickers were added to butterfly before it was positioned on card with foam tape.  Sentiment was stamped on Kraft card stock with Memento tuxedo black dye ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:
Paper: Bazill card stock
Stamp:  PTI year of flowers, Impress congratulations
Ink: Memento dye ink in tuxedo black, VersaMark
Other; PTI butterfly die, tissue paper, Martha Steward rhinestone stickers Pin It

A quick post for the current challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.  I need a few thank you cards.  That's why all my recent cards are thank you cards.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:
Paper: Bazill card stock
Stamp:  Hero Arts classic bloom, PTI mega mixed messages,
Ink: Memento dye ink in tuxedo black, VersaMark

Bright Thanks

The current Play Date Cafe challenge colors are bright and fun.  Did you notice the blue heels,  I would wear those before I become a mom.  Now I can only admire it.  But I can still use the colors on my card.

Branch stamp from Impress was stamped on blue card stock with VersaMark.  Flowers from PTI flower fusion #4 were stamped on white card stock with Memento Rosebud.  The hardest part of making this card was cut out those little flowers. The flowers were embellished with orange rhinestone stickers and popped up with adhesive foam squares.  Sentiment from PTI mega mixed messages was also stamped with VersaMark.  I like the subtle background to make the bright flowers standout.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:
Paper: Bazill card stock
Stamp:  PTI mega mixed messages, PTI flower fusion #4, Impress branch stamp
Ink: Memento dye ink in rose bud, VersaMark,
Other, Ribbon, PTI edge die, Pin It

Flower appreciation

The technique featured at PTI Make it Monday is rock and roll stamping.  I have to try.

Background stamp from PTI retro background was used to create a frame for the card.  I love how the flower turned out.  I would definitely use the technique again!  Current challenge at Less is More is to add a frame.  It fits the bill too.  I have a second card for challenge at Less is More using Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The stamps are PTI year of flower and PTI flower fusion #4.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:
Paper: Bazill card stock
Stamp:  PTI retro background, PTI year of flowers, PTI mega mixed messages, flower stamp from Impress
Ink: Momento dye ink in tuxedo black, angel pink and rose bud Pin It

Tangerine kindness

Doesn't that sound fun!  The current colors from Color Throwdown is not my go-to color.  But I am having a lot fun going out of my comfort zone and trying out the different colors and patterned papers.  The current Card Patterns sketch gave me a great frame to work with.

I used tangerine card base and PP I just found at Michael's over the weekend.  I have been drooling over the cards incorporate PP and finally got some.  But I had a hard time to decide what PP will be good for cards.  Kiwi and Daffodil card stocks were die cut out and stacked with foam tape.  Gladiolus from PTI May release year of flowers was stamped with Memento Daffodil on daffodil colored card stock.  I love tone on tone.  The sentiments were from three different PTI sets and stamped over gladiolus.

The card also fits the current challenge at Simon says stamp challenge - Let's play BINGO.  It is the last row - shape, ribbon, sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:
Paper: Bazill card stock, GCP patterned paper
Stamp: PTI year of flowers, PTI mega mixed messages, PTI flower fusion
Ink: Memento dye ink in tuxedo black, daffodil
Other; nestabilities die, PTI die, ribbon (JoAnn) Pin It

Other; Twiner baker's twine, gem sticker, die cut heart, glossy accent.

Flower Congrats

Sweet Virginia is having a challenge and giving away some of her favorite Hero Arts stamps. This card is one of my favorite of her recent cards.  I love the bright color and how she colored outside of the heat embossed flower to make white embossing stand out on white card stock.
Here is my card.  The HA classic bloom was stamped three times with VersaMark and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder.  I used watercolor techinque showed by Shari at Hero Arts blog to color my flowers with Ranger barn door.  I did not color the flower as bright as Virginia's.

Big thank you

This week at CAS-ual Friday is playing something really fun - tic tac toe.  I love all board games.  I am definitely not going to miss this one.  The color from the Play Date Cafe's current challenge is o-so-delicious.

I used middle column of Tic Tac Toe - gems, die and flowers.  Nestabilites label 3 was die cut from dusty rose colored card stock.  Hero Arts classic bloom was stamped with Memento lulu lavender on the die cut.  Then I did selective inking for the sentiment.  Here is the sentiment from Paper trey ink think big favorite #4.  It is quite long.
The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder.  Chevron stripes was stamped with Versamark on blue card stock.  At last, the card was embellished with three rhinestones and a ribbon.

Edit:  this card is also entered into current Lawnscaping Challenge 11.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Paper: Bazzill cardstock
Stamp: PTI chevron background, PTI think big #4
Ink: Versamark watermark ink, Memento dye ink in lulu lavendar

CASE study challenge #43

Here is another fabulous card from June muse, Jill Foster.

What I really like about the card is the scripted background, stitches and circle for the point. I cased all the details of the card except different color scheme and focal image.

The hot air balloon was stamped twice, once on white card stock, colored and cut out, and again on the white circle die.  I added three blue rhinestones and a sentiment.  Somehow to me, hot air balloon is always associated with wishes.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Paper: Bazzill card stock
Stamp:  unity hot air balloon,  Hero arts old letter writing, PTI chevron background, PTI mega mixed messages
Ink: Momento dye ink in tuxedo black, ranger broken china, antique linen

Pinwheel congrats

I wanted to try this new pinwheel for awhile. Isn't it cute?  You can add as many pieces as you want to make the pinwheel as full as you want.

I distressed the edge of the blue PP with Ranger broken china after sewing around it.  I stitched twice along the curve of green PP to add some interests.  Then the card was embellished with crochet trim and twinery baker's twine.

CAS-ual Fridays Challenges CFC4

CAS-ual Fridays is my favorite weekly challenges.  This week's challenge is to create a graduation project.

I wanted to play, but I don't own any graduation themed stamp.  The challenge has been on the back of my head for several days.  Until yesterday while I was browsing Pinterest.  I saw this wedding invitation.

Then came my inspiration.  Education is key that help us get into the world!  (I know I am a nerd).

There is a sentiment from Paper Crafts magazine that is perfect for my purpose.  So here is my card.

And the inside of the card.

Since it is inspired by Pinterest. I am also entering the card for the current challenge at Wee memories.
I also used Lucy's sketch.

Wish all the graduate have a wonderful entry into the world at next level.

Thanks for stopping by. Pin It
